For indirect massage, it is the client who holds the metal end of the electrode during the massage performed by the beautician (face or elsewhere).

Beautician:
Start with the energy at minimum, then increase the intensity of the electrode during the massage.

Effects:
The client will feel more the sensations of the massage performed by the beautician (tingling, heat, etc.) = AMPLIFIED effects of the massage.
